On June 16, 2025, the Kaunas Center of Technology Education hosted a conference as part of the project \u201cEmpowering People with Learning Difficulties for Their Professional Development by Strengthening Their Basic Entrepreneurial Skills in the Circular Economy Sector.\u201d The event brought together 22 participants from seven different organizations.<\/p>

Among the attendees were representatives from five vocational education institutions, the Centre for the Development of Qualifications and Vocational Education and Training, as well as the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. During the conference, participants were introduced to innovative digital learning tools designed for both vocational teachers and their students.<\/p>

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of digital games specifically developed for students with learning difficulties. These games not only increase engagement in the learning process but also help make theoretical content more accessible, encourage its application in practical situations, and foster problem-solving skills.
In addition, a modern e-learning platform tailored for vocational teachers was introduced. The platform includes eight themed learning modules available in Lithuanian, English, Greek, Spanish, and Italian. Each module contains structured theoretical and practical material that can be downloaded in PDF format. This content is ideal for use during lessons as supplementary teaching resources, for student project work, or for independent learning.<\/p>

Teachers can also participate in remote training through the platform and earn micro-credentials\u2014certificates that validate the acquisition of specific skills or knowledge. Micro-credentials offer a flexible, short, and clearly defined form of learning that demonstrates competence in specific areas. Unlike traditional qualifications, micro-credentials focus on targeted skills or topics (e.g., using digital tools, collaboration, entrepreneurship basics) and can be earned more quickly. They are based on transparency and quality, aligned with European Union-level recommendations, and widely recognized across the EU. As such, they are valuable both for professional development and in the job market.<\/p>

The conference atmosphere was active and engaging\u2014participants not only listened to presentations but also discussed the use of digital tools in vocational education, their potential integration into curricula, and further opportunities for inter-institutional cooperation. Emphasis was placed on the importance of digital education in a rapidly changing labor market and on preparing teachers and students to apply innovative methods in everyday teaching practice.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
