ENTRELED Multiplier Event Empowers VET Educators in Torino

On 7 July 2025, the ENTRELED project held a dynamic multiplier event in Torino, gathering around 30 participants, mainly VET teachers, trainers, and representatives from training centres across the Piedmont Region. The event showcased the innovative tools and methods designed to empower VET learners with learning difficulties, focusing on circular economy, gamification, and inclusive teaching.

The afternoon began at 15:00 with Stefano Tirati welcoming attendees and introducing the vision behind the ENTRELED project, which aims to strengthen the skills and competencies of vocational learners through innovative digital resources and blended learning strategies.

Following the welcome, Mathilde Costes and Giacomo Bosio led a networking activity with the aim of breaking the ice between participants. Each participant was equipped with a card that could indicate either a competence or an activity. The goal of the activity was to meet people to pair an activity with a competence it forms or reinforces. Participants were then encouraged to join facilitated group discussions with open questions available at the center of their table of sustainability and entrepreneurship in VET systems and Youth organisations and the opportunities in that field for learners with difficulties.

The discussions emphasised the importance of equipping teachers with practical strategies for digital inclusivity and promoting green skills that match the demands of a circular economy. Consequently, one of the event’s highlights was the live session on educational games, led by Giacomo Bosio. Participants discovered the five innovative games developed by ENTRELED to make learning about the circular economy engaging and interactive. Teachers explored how these games can be motivating for students who benefit from practical and visual learning methods.

Another strategy for digital inclusivity that was presented in the facilitated group discussion was the validation of competences through microcredentials. It was no mystery for the attendees that in our rapidly evolving global landscape, the traditional model of education is undergoing a significant transformation. VET teachers, trainers and youth workers know how lifelong learning has shifted from a mere concept to an absolute necessity, driven by technological advancements, rapidly changing labor markets, and the need for individuals to continuously upskill and reskill. Unsurprisingly it emerged that the audience was already deeply aware of this dynamic environment and the topic of micro-credentials was really well received as they have emerged as a flexible tool helping the shift from a time-based model of education to a competency-based one.

The spotlight then turned to the ENTRELED E-Learning Platform. Carlo Cavicchioli and Stefano Tirati guided participants through the platform’s structure and the eight training modules, covering topics from sustainability and digital skills to entrepreneurship and understanding, supporting, and evaluating students with learning difficulties. The platform was well received, with participants appreciating its user-friendly design.

The event concluded with an open Q&A session who invited participants to share feedback, ideas, and questions. Several attendees asked questions because they wanted some practical examples of classroom scenarios to better understand how to adapt the tools to their specific contexts.

Overall, the event highlighted the value of inclusive teaching strategies in vocational education and created connections among training providers in Piedmont committed to making VET future-ready.

The ENTRELED partnership looks forward to continued collaboration with local and regional stakeholders to ensure that VET teachers are equipped to support all learners in developing the skills needed for a sustainable and circular economy.
