Creating opportunities for Individuals with Learning Difficulties

As the prominence of entrepreneurship education grows within Vocational Education and Training (VET), it’s crucial to address the overlooked challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties (LDs) in this domain. The European Commission highlights significant hurdles to individuals with LDs accessing VET, resulting in concerning levels of unemployment and social isolation.

The ENTRELED project is an innovative initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program and led by a consortium of organizations from Lithuania, Spain, Italy, and Greece.

With a focus on empowering VET learners with LDs, ENTRELED aims to equip them with the skills necessary to excel in the circular economy sector, recognizing its pivotal role in sustainable development and job creation.

A key facet of this endeavor is the enhancement of VET trainers’ knowledge and skills in learning difficulties-focused vocational education.

Moreover, acknowledging the critical role of family support, ENTRELED provides essential assistance to families, fostering the social and professional inclusion of individuals with LDs in their care.

Beyond individual empowerment, ENTRELED seeks to establish a network of stakeholders committed to integrating LD VET students into the circular economy, including VET institutions, circular economy entities, NGOs, and environmental professionals.

Project Objectives:

  1. Develop a tailored educational itinerary for VET learners with LDs, centered on the circular economy.
  2. Establish a digital educational platform featuring interactive games.
  3. Promote increased collaboration and inclusion in the job market for VET learners with LDs.
  4. Create a network of trainers, support networks, and organizations to facilitate LD VET learners’ integration into circular economy careers.
  5. Empower VET learners with LDs with the requisite skills for circular economy employment.
  6. Challenge perceptions and enhance the social sustainability of VET learners’ with LDs learning and employment experiences.
  7. Disseminate circular economy principles to all project beneficiaries.

Deliverables:

  • Creation of an e-learning course for VET trainers, containing short trainings focusing on the circular economy and LD instruction.
  • Development of 5 digital educational games tailored to VET learners with LDs, promoting circular economy entrepreneurship, fostering social responsibility, and addressing pertinent issues like bullying.

In essence, the ENTRELED project is a holistic endeavor aimed at overcoming the obstacles faced by VET students with learning difficulties, offering them the necessary support, education, and resources to thrive in the circular economy sector.

Stay tuned for updates on ENTRELED’s progress and its profound impact on empowering individuals with learning difficulties for success in circular economy careers.
